  Activities in 2008

 

Field excursions

• Four fully supervised field trips guided together with the Czech Tourist Club and four other field trips guided individually either to Barrandien or to the Czech Cretaceous Basin.

 

Exhibitions

• “The Prague’s 5th District at the bottom of the paleozoic sea“ realized at the Prague Municipal Library, the Barrandov Branch.
• “The Prague’s 5th District at the bottom of the paleozoic sea“ realized at the Prague Municipal Library, the Smíchov Branch.
• “The City of Prague at the bottom of the paleozoic sea“ currently on display at the Scientific Club Caffé Barrande.

Lectures

• Talk about fossils at the Barrandov Branch of the Prague Municipal Library.
• Talk about fossils at an elementary school in Barrandov.
• Talk about Joachim Barrande at the Smíchov Branch of the Prague Municipal Library.

 

Projects

• GEO project proposed for the Prague Municipality.
• Proposal of the exhibition promoting Czech geology in the USA discussed with NASA employees.
